How The Clay Workshop Works
Step 1: Learn How To Build
$15/hr/station/visit
Your first class is for hand-building your piece. One vase. Each potter receives up to 2 lbs 7 oz of terracotta clay.
Bring a friend for an extra $5! You can have up to 2 people per station if you are in the same bubble.
Step 2: Glazing Your Clay
$15/hr/station/visit
Your second class is for sgraffito & glazing (best if it the next day!) Each potter receives access to low fire glazes/ overglaze and tools.
Bring a friend for an extra $5! You can have up to 2 people per station if you are in the same bubble.
Please make sure to book both a building time & a glazing time.
If possible, book your glazing time within TWO DAYS of your building time as the clay needs to be in a leather dry state to carve into. If you leave it longer, we can wrap the clay to help prevent drying, however, we cannot guarantee we can control the drying time.
Are you a bit chatty?
You can totally finish each of the building/glazing classes within 1 hour BUT if you want to chat lots, drink a coffee/tea/hot chocolate, or generally take your time, we recommend booking more time than 1 hr. Please be realistic in how much time you book.
If you go over your pre-booked time, you will be charged for another full hour. No exceptions. If you are late, your start time will be taken as the time you booked.
Independent Practice
